Lady Gaga is already making history as she steps into her Mayhem era.
The pop icon, 38, just shattered the all-time Spotify record for the most monthly listeners by a female artist, surpassing Ariana Grande who had previously surpassed Taylor Swift.
As of Tuesday (February 18), Gaga boasts a staggering 123.7 million listeners on the platform, trailing only Bruno Mars and The Weeknd overall.
This milestone comes amid the massive success of Gaga’s latest hits.
Her collaboration with Mars, Die With a Smile, has dominated the charts for weeks, holding the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 for five weeks before slipping to No. 4. Meanwhile, Abracadabra debuted at No. 1 on the Hot Dance/Pop Songs chart and landed at No. 29 on the Hot 100.
Both singles are part of Mayhem, Gaga’s highly anticipated seventh album dropping March 7.

Errol Musk appeared on the “Wide Awake” podcast Wednesday, two days before author Ashley St. Clair claimed she had given birth to Elon’s 13th child last year.
“He hasn’t been a good dad,” Errol, 79, told listeners in a clip shared via TikTok. “The first child was too much with nannies and died in the care of a nanny.”
Elon Musk’s father, Errol Musk, criticized the billionaire’s parenting skills on a podcast.
The 78-year-old told “Wide Awake” listeners his son isn’t “a good dad.”
He claimed Elon’s late son, Nevada, “died in the care of a nanny.”
Elon and his ex-wife Justine Wilson’s firstborn son, Nevada, died in 2002 at 10 weeks old due to sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS).
Errol admitted, “Elon’s gonna shoot me for saying this, but that’s what I think. That’s no good. They were too rich, too many nannies.”
He claimed Elon and Wilson’s children — twins Griffin and Vivian, 20, and triplets Kai, Saxon and Damian, 19 — each had their own nanny.
Errol claimed Elon and ex-wife Justine Wilson’s five living children each grew up with two nannies post-divorce.
“It was a weird situation,” he said.
“When they got divorced [in 2008], the nannies were six on this side and six on that side,” Errol continued. “It was a really weird situation.”
When host Joshua Rubin asked whether Elon, 53, “didn’t spend enough time with” his little ones, Errol claimed that was indeed the case.
Elon has confirmed that he is the father of 12 children.

Multiple TikTok users highlighted the “disturbing … hypocrisy” in Errol’s statements, with many pointing out that he shares a child with his former stepdaughter Jana Bezuidenhout.

He did, however, reply to a post alleging that the “Elephants Are Not Birds” author had “plotted for HALF A DECADE to ensnare” him.
Vivian poked fun at the situation via TikTok on Saturday.

He has yet to do so.

The Duke of Sussex took to the stage at the closing ceremony held at Vancouver’s Rogers Arena, after outgoing Prime Minister Justin Trudeau honoured him with high praise in his speech.
Before Harry began his address, he began singing the opening bars of the Canadian national anthem.
“You’ve only gone and done it again. Did we all have fun?” he began and proceed to thank the organisers and officials.
“To our Invictus wives, husbands, girlfriends, boyfriends, kids, grandparents and friends, if you can, please stand and be recognised — we salute you,” Harry said. “To our comrades, friends or loved ones who we lost to battle or to suicide, tonight we honour you too.”
The Duke went on to acknowledge the “difficult and uncertain” journeys may of the attendees had take in order to be here at the adaptive sporting event and said “thank you showing us what is possible”.
“In the pursuit of saving yourselves, you have also saved all of us. Those who love you and those who don’t even know you,” he said.
He noted that in the past 11 days he met with families “from different beliefs, backgrounds and abilities” and he could see “how you’ve changed them”.
“Being a hero, being a role model, it’s not just about resilience, skill or power. It’s about integrity. Compassion. Courage,” he continued. “You give us hope through your healing, honesty and humanity, and of course through your humour! You know exactly what I’m talking about. It’s an in-house joke,” prompted laughs from the crowd.
“Our entire Invictus community, whether here tonight or watching from home, is making the world a better place, and you’re doing it by being your awesome selves.”
The closing ceremony also marked the official handover to the Invictus Games’ 2027 host Birmingham.
The battle between Sam Altman and Elon Musk, two tech billionaires at the forefront of the artificial intelligence race, took a personal turn in a recent interview.
When asked if he thought Musk’s targeting of OpenAI stemmed from insecurity, Altman, the CEO of OpenAI, told Bloomberg that “probably his whole life is from a position of insecurity. I feel for the guy. “I don’t think he’s a happy person.”
Musk, who owns xAI, put in a $97.4 billion bid for his rival OpenAI, which Altman rejected. Musk has a number of lawsuits against OpenAI, and he accuses the company of reneging on a previous commitment to being a nonprofit, referring to “Scam Altman”.
“I wish he would just compete by building a better product, but I think there’s been a lot of tactics,” Altman said in his Bloomberg interview. “Many, many lawsuits, all sorts of other crazy stuff, now this, and we’ll try to just put our head down and keep working.”

As AI continues to surge in significance, the quest for AI dominance shows no signs of abating—whether it’s among corporations or between nations.
The well-known AI rivalry between the U.S. and China, as well as the competition between OpenAI and xAI, is just the tip of the iceberg. Numerous other conflicts, potentially even fiercer, are unfolding behind the scenes.
As the maker of ChatGPT, OpenAI holds the advantage of being the pioneer in making the world realize the true power and potential of AI.
Now, as the keystone of the $500 billion Stargate project, OpenAI has become increasingly difficult to compete with, making the prospect of acquisition, though unlikely, seem comparatively more viable.

While we don’t know who is going to win, we do know that the future is in open source models, and that’s undermining OpenAI. Model prices are already trending down and future industry revenue will be in inference and agent-based AI.
Whatever his motivation, the OpenAI board will have a fiduciary responsibility to consider an offer from Musk or anyone else.
It’s not clear what Musk’s end game is. We do know that he is saying that AI is the hottest topic in town, but he doesn’t have skin in the game. xAI appears significantly behind OpenAI in development.
His motivation could be to control something very powerful or just to slow down OpenAI in order to allow XAI to improve—seize the new market opportunity—or to break up OpenAI and render his competition obsolete.
Regardless of his motivation, Musk’s overture should be concerning. Musk owning OpenAI would be problematic. Too much power would be concentrated into his hands and his decisions could have broad ramifications on the stock market.
Similarly to what happened with Twitter, we could also see customers decide to walk away if OpenAI were to fall in his hands.

There won’t be a single winner in the AI tech wars—there’s plenty of room for multiple winners. In addition to OpenAI and xAI other significant players in this space include Alphabet/Google, Amazon, Apple, Meta/Facebook, and Nvidia.
However, comparing OpenAI and xAI specifically, OpenAI is responsible for more of the innovative ideas permeating AI than is the case for xAI.
That means that OpenAI might be first to market with many AI innovations, but xAI also has talented people that keeps them timely in AI.
