Valerie Bertinelli is on the mend after suffering a gnarly injury.
The 64-year-old actress and TV personality shared a photo to Instagram Tuesday of a large cut on her right arm. Bertinelli posed in front of a mirror as she showed off the brutal wound that extended from her wrist to near her elbow.
“I would ask for hazard pay, but it was my own damn fault. 🥴,” she wrote.

“I’ve been working on a really fun new project that I can’t wait to tell you about and this is what happens when you literally trip over the corner of a stage and fall on your ass in front of the crew. And the whole audience,” Bertinelli added.
“When you’re me. Because I’m a klutz. And embarrassing myself is my bailiwick. 😅.”
Bertinelli made a face in the photo while wearing a shirt that said in part, “More Hope. More Kindness.”

Fans flocked to the comments section of Bertinelli’s post and wished her well after seeing her massive gash.
“Ouch! I hope it heals quickly!” one person wrote.
“Wow girl! Guess it could have been soooo much worse! Glad you are ok! Embarrassment aside!” another fan said.
“Thank God nothing broke,” somebody else wrote.
A fourth comment read, “I hope you are ok 🙏🏻❤️ I can’t wait to hear what your new project is.”

It’s unclear what Bertinelli’s new gig is — but she did join “The Drew Barrymore Show” as a regular lifestyle expert last month.
“I absolutely adore her,” Bertinelli said to People about Barrymore, 49. “And all the people that work there are so flippin’ cool.”
It’s now been almost a year since Bertinelli was fired from the Food Network. She hosted “Valerie’s Home Cooking” and was a judge on “Kids Baking Championship” and “Food Network Star” previously.

“I learned so much. It’s sad it’s not about cooking and learning any longer. Oh well, that’s just business, folks,” Bertinelli said on Threads in April as she lashed out at the network.
Bertinelli revealed that she was canned due to budget issues.
“I’ve been avoiding facing what I got confirmation last night and I didn’t want to talk about it last night [because] I wanted to sleep on it because it really hurt my feelings,” she sorrowfully explained on Instagram in January.
“I know it’s not supposed to. Logically, I know it’s business [and] budget cuts, right? But it really hurt my feelings to know that I’m not going to be asked back to be on ‘Kids Baking Championship.’”
Bertinelli’s longtime manager, Marc Schwartz, told Variety after her firing, “Her deal expired, they opted not to renew it. They could have come to me with an offer just for ‘Kids.’ They never did. Simple as that.”
